Welcome to Greene Inc.'s Rehabilitation Department. The Rehabilitation
Department can connect you to vocational services in the local area,
provide
work experience and receive a paycheck during this training. We also can
help you get a job that matches your desires and skills.
Our programs are detailed below.

Community Work Assessment
 
Program Description: The goal of the Community Work Assessment Program is to evaluate the vocational strengths and weaknesses of each individual, as well as their desired employment expectations. The purpose of the Community Work Assessment is to enhance the current strengths an individual possesses and alter any weaknesses.
Each individual referred to the Community Work Assessment Program will develop an individualized plan specifically addressing areas that were identified throughout the assessment. These areas will be addressed by the individual and the job coach. The goals will be measurable, include strategies and methodologies and target dates.

Community Work Adjustment
 
Program Description: The goal of the Community Work Adjustment Training Program is to address and remedy problematic areas, which may serve as obstacles to securing and maintaining employment. The purpose of the Community Work Adjustment Training Program is to teach positive work attitudes and behaviors in a realistic setting where the individual assists in determining his/her vocational goals.
Each individual referred to the Community Work Adjustment Training Program will develop an Individual Work Adjustment plan specifically delineating problematic areas to be addressed during the adjustment program. Each of these areas will be addressed and measured in quantifiable terms, with the definite target dates and goals included in each plan.

Community Employment Services
Program Description: The Community Employment Program is a person-centered process designed to facilitate the acquisition of employment for Greene, Inc. consumers, as well as, those referred by the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation. The goal of person-centered placement is to assess the vocational strengths of each consumer, as well as their desired employment expectations. The desired outcome of the process being job satisfaction.
The program is tailored to the needs and desires of each individual. Assistance with identifying goals, job applications, and interviewing skills as well as other assistance with job readiness is addressed individually and not in a classroom setting.

Job Coaching

Program Description: The Job Coaching component of Community Employment Services is designed to provide significant individualized job training and support to individuals employed in competitive community employment as the program allows a maximum amount of one on one training and support for individuals with varying disabilities. Provided in this program may include but not be limited to the following: development of task analysis;job site policies; liaison services with involved staff, family, agencies, and employer; retraining; and follow-up services which may include retraining and regular job site of trainees and to ensure success of employment.
Job Coaching will be based upon the individualized needs of the individual served, however, it is usually time limited in nature. Services will be gradually decreased when a appropriate or when employers select to transfer training and/or support to their own employees. In all cases, the purpose of job coaching is to assist disabled individuals to function competitively in community-based employment with support and intervention to enhance their vocational performance. Five(5) business days prior notice requested for scheduling.

Vocational Youth Grant

The Rehab Department is implementing a grant funded through The Workforce
Investment Act (WIA). This grant is a partnership between Greene Inc.,
Greene County Career Center, Greene CATS, and The Mall at Fairfield
Commons.
The purpose of this project is to provide comprehensive vocational
services
to high school students, including students with disabilities, parenting
teens, offenders, and at risk youth. These students, ranging in ages from
sixteen to twenty-two are from all school districts in Greene County.
This
program is designed to prepare them for successful, competitive
employment.
