Q: Where is Greene, Inc. located and what are your operating hours?

     A: Greene, Inc. is located at 121 Fairground Road, Xenia, Ohio 45385. Our business hours are Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.


Q: Is vocational training available to PSC (Personal Social Community Program Unit) Participants?

     A: Yes. This training is available and generally takes place on the workfloor.


Q: Are staff properly trained in providing appropriate services for my adult?

     A: Yes. Staff working with your adult must have required training courses and hold state certification.


Q: How is Greene, Inc. funded?

     A: Greene, Inc. is funded by a variety of sources. The Greene County Board of Mental Retardation and Development Disabilities is the largest funder. The Rehabilitation Services Commission (BVR) is also a funder. Greene, Inc. generates revenues in its own programs and services through its business divisions and from regional companies who contract with us. Greene, Inc. also writes collaborative grants with other organizations to obtain funding.


Q: How can a person be referred for services?

     A: Contact our Greene County MR/DD eligibility and intake coordinator, Vanessa Emanoff, at 937-562-6512, who can assist in service options and referrals.


Q: What Kinds of Work Does Greene, Inc. Do?

     A: Greene, Inc. has four Business Divisions: Commercial Health Care Laundry Division, Janitorial Services Division, Specialty Sub-Contract Division, and Secure Document Destruction. All of these business divisions provide training and ongoing employment for persons with disabilities.


Q: If I receive services from the Greene Co. Bd. of MR/DD how do I find out about employment opportunities in an Enclave or Mobile crew?

     A: Contact your ETS (Education Training Specialist) or Services Coordinator.


Q: If I am disabled and do not receive services from the Greene Co. Bd. of MR/DD am I eligible for employment in an enclave or mobile crew?

     A: Yes, call Greene, Inc. at 937-376-8541 and ask for the Manager of Janitorial Services and Marketing.


Q: If I am interested in finding out about janitorial service for my business what do I do?

     A: Contact the Manager of Janitorial Services & Marketing at 937-376-8541.


Q: Does the Greene, Inc. enclave division provide any other services in community settings other than Janitorial, Hotel Housekeeping and Grounds Maintenance?

     A: Currently these are the services that we provide. We are always open to exploring new opportunities to employ program participants in the community. Q: If I am an employer and would like to find out how my company can participate in the Greene, Inc. program by either employing disabled persons or contracting with Greene, Inc. to provide a service what should I do?

Q: Does Greene Inc. adheres to the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations-Health Services Inspection standards?

     A: Yes, Greene Inc. meets all required standards and maintains a quality assurance manual in accordance with JCAHO-HIS standards.


Q: What is paid work for consumers?

     A: Consumers are paid for any task that results in an economic benefit for Greene Inc. Pay is figured by the number of pieces completed times a piece rate or the number of hours to complete a task times an hourly rate.


Q: How are consumers paid?

     A: Consumers receive a paycheck with check stub for all paid work completed with in a given pay period. The check stub is the consumer's record of wages paid and taxes withheld. A pay period is two weeks in length and is paid two weeks after the completion of the pay period. Example: pay period begins 2/2/03 and ends 2/15/03, the pay date for paid work preformed during those dates would be 2/28/03.
